Paul Early Obituary

Paul Ray Early, 72, of East Brady was called home to join his best canine buddy, Bentley, in heaven the
morning of April 24, 2024. Paul was born March 28, 1952 to Walter and Verna (Seybert) Early in
Callensburg, PA. He was the youngest of three children and gave his parents a run for their money.

Paul leaves behind his wife Genny, whom he adored, his children Tara (Brandon) Geibel of Chicora, Neal
(Ashton) Early of Butler, Crystal (Tyler) Rankin of New Bethlehem, and Ryan (Shelbie) Drayer of Tidal, his
grandchildren Savanna, Maverick, Teagan, Hayden, Braiden, and Ryker, a brother Andy (Sally) Early of
Marienville, sister Linda (Eric) Elder of Harborcreek, and his father Walter (Shirley) Early of Clarion. Paul
was preceded in death by his mother Verna (Seybert) Early, his in laws, Bruce and Ruby Wiant, and many
close friends who were waiting to greet him at the pearly gates.

Paul attended Keystone High School, then went into the work force where he was employed by PPG
paints, Pullman Standard, and Armco until he found his niche in mining and served as superintendent of
Brady’s Bend Corporation for 35 years. Paul was a wealth of knowledge, serving on mine safety
committees and underground fire and rescue teams for the majority of his career. He could fix anything
and possessed a great amount of patience in teaching employees/friends/family how to do things. He
always made time to help a friend or neighbor with a project and was always willing to lend an ear to
listen or a shoulder to cry on. Paul was a man of many talents. He could fashion a musical instrument
from almost any common household item from a flyswatter to a kayak oar, to a piece of PVC pipe and a
welding rod. Paul also had a knack for autobody work and spent many hours sanding, priming and
painting with his son in law Brandon, his grandson Maverick, and his lifelong best friend Chick Wiles.

If you were fortunate enough to know Paul, consider yourself lucky. He was never too busy to turn
away visitors and more often than not a morning cup of coffee on his porch on North Vot Lane, would
end much later that night with a fire, mini beers, and loads of laughter. Paul was always quick with a
joke (not always appropriate, but quick) and loved spending his time with family and friends. He was
the founder of SNAFU mining and a dynamite expert. He spent a lot of his time on the river boating,
skiing, and participating in belly smacker contests. Paul also loved hosting groups of friends in his
garage, dubbed Redneck Underground where there was no shortage of guitar music, laughter, and
heated games of pool. Paul was a member of Cowansville American Legion, Rimersburg VFW, and a
lifetime member of the Sons of Italy in Brady’s Bend.

Paul will be missed dearly by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Sunday mornings will never be the
same. We are considering starting a go fund me page for Pittsburgh Brewing Company, makers of IC
Light as their business is about to suffer significant hardship with the loss of Paul’s patronage. He will be
remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if
you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity and strength, full of
love for those who passed before him. Paul’s last words of wisdom were to “love everybody, because in
the end that is all that you have.”

Services for Paul will be private.
